Drupal 9 and the new version of single sign-on

Hello,

When clicking on a restricted link from the Admin e-guide (https://admin-eguide.web.cern.ch/en/procedure/life-insurance-helvetia) for example, we need to log in and then we lose the restricted link. Is there a way to avoid this ?

Thanks.
Caroline

Hi Caroline

So I am accessing https://admin-eguide.web.cern.ch/en/procedure/life-insurance-helvetia and am prompted to login. I login and am redirected to the frontpage: I am guessing this is what you mean with losing the link? However, if I access https://admin-eguide.web.cern.ch/en/procedure/life-insurance-helvetia once again after logging in, I see the page just fine. If you want to do specific redirections post login, check the Redirect module. If this does not address your question / issue, please let me know!

Thanks!

Hi Joachim,

Thanks. I wanted to know if this is the standard behaviour with the new SSO login and Drupal 9. If so, I will think of it. You can close my request.

Thanks again for your help.
Caroline

Hi again

Thanks for confirming.

At the moment, this is indeed the default behaviour. In fact I believe this (the user page) is where Drupal by default sends you immediately after logging in. This is something which we are aware of as it causes confusion for several users: We are looking into a number of possible solutions, but the easiest way right now would most likely be the Redirect module.

Thanks!
