"Easy start" website template

Dear all,

Soon we will provide you with a new template called “Easy start” website.

This template will provide out of the box functionality and is intended for people with no or little Drupal experience who want to create quickly a Drupal 8 website and start adding content to it. It will come pre-configured with all the following features :

Content types The website will have the following content types:

  • Basic Page
  • News Page
  • Event Page
  • Indico and Webcast Events
  • Resource Page
  • FAQ Page
  • Landing Page

Taxonomy The website will have the following taxonomy vocabularies:

  • News format
  • Resources format
  • Audience
  • Byline
  • Topics

URL Patterns The following patterns will be used per content type:

  • Basic Page ([node:title])
  • News Page (news/[news-format]/[topic]/[node:title])
  • Event Page (events/[node:title])
  • Indico and Webcast Events (events/[node:title] and events/webcasts/[node:title])
  • Resource Page (resources/[resource-format]/[topic]/[node:title])
  • FAQ Page (faqs/[node:title])
  • Landing Page ([node:title])

Views The website will have the following views:

  • News view
  • Events view
  • Resources view
  • FAQs view

Webform The website will have a Contact us webform with the following fields:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • E-mail
  • Message

Languages The website will have enabled the following two official languages:

  • English (default with no prefix in the URLs)
  • French (with ‘fr’ prefix in the URLs)

Menu The website will have the following menu parent links:

  • About (Basic page)
  • News (link to News view)
  • Events (link to Events view)
  • Resources (link to Resources view)
  • FAQs (link to FAQs view)
  • Contact us (link to contact us webform)

Dear all,

The “Easy start” website template is available via web services. When you create a new Drupal 8 website select the Easy Start Profile from the drop down list.
