I am waiting for the latest version of the CERN components to be deployed on the central infrastructure. Is it possible to install it manually on my sites to try it out before the official date? If so, how can I do this?

I would not recommend to install those modules locally, since the site will be detached from the centrally managed version until cleaned. Only to be used in very specific scenario and having in mind tha they should be deleted once the central version of the module is updated.
Please note that a new version of Drupal together with the new version of the components will be released in the infrastructure in a 2 weeks time.
