Today the menu disappeared again for this 2 pages

As it is not a big issue, I think I can live with this phenomena…

Hello Simon,
In order to make sure that its not a theming issue, I will clone your site in a test site and change the theme.
Konstantinos
Hello Konstinos,
Thank you to take care, don’t spent to much time, I will accept this behavior.
I noticed also a strange thing since while, the URL alias doesn’t work.
For instance I have https://isoldeop.web.cern.ch/node/511 instead of https://isoldeop.web.cern.ch/Layout_Integration_Maps_Optics
Cheers
Simon
Hello Simon,
I tried it in a test site and I dont see the issue. Something that can be related is to setup cache in the performance page..
Regarding that, I dont think its an issue. When I click on https://isoldeop.web.cern.ch/Layout_Integration_Maps_Optics, it takes me to the node with ID 511 which is the expected behavior. The /node/511
is the original URL and it cannot be changed. When you apply an alias, it “masks” the URL using the alias you provide.
Let me know if something is not clear, maybe I misunderstood the issue.
Konstantinos
Hello,
What I wanted to say, that I don’t like to have a link as https://isoldeop.web.cern.ch/node/511, I would prefer to have https://isoldeop.web.cern.ch/Layout_Integration_Maps_Optics, but it is not the case … I thought it was not normal as I created the URL alias. It is not important
I check the performance page, for me, it is a mystery page, I have no idea what to do…
We can let like that, my colleagues don’t complain…
Thank you
Simon
Hello
Again, my left menu disappear on few pages. sometime
for example
result
same thing for this page
any suggestion are welcome
Hi Simon
Have you check the setting on the menu block under Structure/Block layout?
You must find your menu and see the configuration. You can configure the visibility of the menu by content type or pages,…depending of your need.
Example:
Ciao Almudena,
Thank you for your hep. I checked, everything seems ok. Today, on my website www.cern.ch/isop all menu are present, except for one page https://isoldeop.web.cern.ch/schedules.
So it is not too bad
Thank you for your help
Have nice day. Simon

Have a nice day
Simon
Hi Simon
Which changes have been made to your website between today and the 16th?
Thanks!
As far as I remember nothing… maybe I updated a picture/Layout, but to do it , I connect with a WebDAV client to https://isoldeop.web.cern.ch/_webdav/…
Thank you for your help
Simon
I did as usually, I wen to https://isoldeop.web.cern.ch/admin/structure/menu, in Main navigation, I disable all second layer, I save, and I reactivated them, and now all menu are displayed correctly
Simon
Hi Simon
Interesting. Thanks for the update.
I can see that this has been an ongoing issue for you for quite some time.
I suspect this is either caching related or an actual bug in the functionality you rely on.
I will make an issue to follow up on this once time allows.
Thanks!
It is still happening. My Menu in left side bar disappear regularly.
now, It is enought to edit and save the page
the menu is back
if so has the same issue, I am interested to know how to solve it
Cheers
Simon
Hi Simon
I have checked the logs of your website around the time you made your post and I cannot immediately find anything that suggests something went wrong; though obviously your menu is missing. The next time it is missing, could you please send me an e-mail directly and not make any changes to your website? We need to be able to somehow re-produce this in order to solve it.
Thanks for your understanding!
