Updating "Taxonomy Menu" module

Dear colleagues,

When updating the “Taxonomy Menu” module to the 8.x-3.5 release, I have the following error message:

“Failed to connect to the server. The server reports the following message:
Cannot connect to FTP Server, check settings
For more help installing or updating code on your server, see the handbook.”

What should I do to update this module? Also, is this module important?

The module is only important if you are actually using it!

If you are not using it, we recommend removing it. How are you attempting to update the module?
