Upload file maximum size

Hi,
after the migration to Drupal 9 of the site cern.ch/lhc-coordination it seems the maximum file size has changed. By default it should be 2MB and the file that the end user is trying to upload is 1.05 MB but it only works if I compress it to be less than 1MB.
As it loses significantly quality by compressing and the limit should be 2MB I am wondering if there are any settings that changed which are not visible to me.
Do you have any idea?

Hi Catharina

Thanks for raising this.

This is a known issue and one which we are addressing ASAP.

Thanks!

Hi Joachim,
good to know.
Is there a list of known issues accessible somewhere so that we don’t spend too much time in investigating ourselves?
Cheers,
Catharina

Hi Catharina

We have pushed changes to fix this; are you able to confirm please?

In regards to tracking issues: While we do have internal lists, we cannot immediately share these due to the nature of some of the issues. In general though, you can safely assume that anything raised on the forums meriting an issue has one.

Thanks!

Hi Joachim,
unfortunately the end user has still the same issue …

Hi again

Thanks for confirming.

Is this only the https://lhc-coordination.web.cern.ch/ page, or are you seeing similar behaviour on other websites?

Thanks!

Hi,
https://lhc-coordination.web.cern.ch/ is the only site I have seen this issue, not sure if any other is using the file upload though.
Cheers,
Catharina

Hi again

Thanks for the confirmation!

Updates to follow…

Hi @cat.hoch , what do you see on the highlighted field when you edit the node you mentioned?
Is the max file size shown to be less than 256MB?

Here’s what I see:

Hi @kosamara ,
I see the same, but the 256MB is valid for the image, not the file.
Anyways, the file size by default is meant to be 2MB, I set it to 5MB, but still a file with 1.05 MB is not uploaded.

Do you also have to update this php.ini file? Increase Maximum File Size | Drupal.org
